about us

The Grace Card was formed to provide a safe, loving, and healthy environment in which to care for, rehabilitate and provide loving homes to seniors and those that have medical or behavioral needs that would not be considered adoptable and would otherwise likely be euthanized.

We welcome animals from local shelters, free roaming cats and abandoned animals, and from families that have no other options.

For those animals that are elderly, disabled and/or have a chronic condition requiring specialized care, we provide a lifetime home as a permanent foster of our rescue.  These animals are not available for adoption.

From time to time, we care for animals that are adoptable, and we seek permanent loving homes for them.

Animals in our care receive medical attention, special food, treats, toys, cozy beds, and lots of love.

TGC does not determines the outcome or diagnosis of our rescues, all animals will be under the care of a vet.  Those with minor and treatable medical needs and disabilities per diagnosis from the vet will be placed in the loving care of short-term fosters until they are adopted.  The more serious medically challenged rescues such as seniors who may suffer with terminal and/or severe mobility medical conditions as diagnosed by the vets, or behavioral issues, are placed in loving hospice/long term foster care for as long as needed.

As a no-kill rescue, we never euthanize our animals due to concerns about space or because they’ve been in our care for extended periods of time. We are committed to lifelong care and only consider euthanasia when their quality of life is extremely poor and we’ve exhausted all other options for treatment.  If euthanasia is deemed necessary by our vet’s diagnosis, due to severe pain and suffering, we have the sad task of helping our beloved animals cross the rainbow bridge. We are with them, holding and loving them in the end as they peacefully pass quietly in our arms.
